제12회 디아스포라영화제는 2024년 5월 셋째 주 중 인천광역시 일대에서 개최된다. 단, 영화제 사정으로 개최 시기는 변동될 수 있다.
The 12th DIAFF will take place on the third week of May 2024 at Incheon Metropolitan city, Korea. The schedule is subject to change due to the festival circumstance.
출품 일정 Deadlines
- 2023년 12월 13일(수) ~ 2024년 1월 31일(수) 24:00 (*한국 시간 기준)
- December 13th (Wed), 2023 ~ January 31st (Wed) 24:00 (KST), 2024
출품 조건 Eligibility
① 제작 시기: 2022년도 이후에 제작이 완료된 작품에 한한다. (타 영화제 상영, 극장 개봉작 모두 출품 가능/단, 디아스포라영화제 일반 초청 작품은 예외)
② 장르/시간: 극영화, 다큐멘터리, 애니메이션, 실험영화 등 모든 장르와 상영 시간의 장·단편 영화.
③ 주제/소재:
- 이주, 이동, 분산, 이산을 뜻하는 ‘디아스포라’를 주제 및 소재로 한 영화.
- 인종, 국적, 민족, 전쟁과 분쟁, 난민, 세대, 성별, 섹슈얼리티 등의 이슈를 디아스포라의 관점에서 다룬 영화.
- 다양한 사회, 정치, 경제, 문화적인 이유로 자신의 공동체를 떠나 새로운 공동체를 찾는 사람들의 이야기를 담은 영화.
④ 자막:
- 영어 자막: 출품 시 영어 자막이 없는 스크리너를 제출할 수 있으나, 추후 상영작으로 확정 시 작품에 영어 자막이 포함되어야 한다.
- 한국어 자막: 한국어 대사 작품이 아닌 경우는 추후 상영작 확정 시 한국어 자막이 필수로 삽입되어야 한다.
⑤ 기타:
- 국적에 관계없이 누구나 출품 가능하다.
- 시사용 스크리너는 최종 상영 버전과 동일해야 하며 만약 수정될 경우 영화제 사무국에 이 사실을 알려야 한다.
- 출품 접수된 자료는 반환하지 않는다.
a. Production Date: All submissions should be completed after January 2022.
- There is no precondition of premiere or prior screening.
- Exception for general invitation films.
b. Genre/Length: Films of all genres and lengths are considered for the selection.
c. Themes:
- The films addressing diaspora issues of ‘Migration’, ‘Transfer’ and ‘Separation’.
- The films around ‘Race’, ‘Nation (or Nationality)’, ‘War/Conflict’, ‘Refugee’, ‘Generation’, ‘Gender’ and ‘Sexuality’ from the diaspora point of view.
-The films addressing the story of those who leave their own communities and seek new places for various reasons including social, political, economic and cultural matters.
d. Subtitles:
- Non-English-speaking films must have subtitles or a transcript of the dialogue in English for both preview and screening copy.
- Non-Korean-speaking films will be screened in Korean subtitles.
e. Others:
- Any nationality and language can participate.
- A preview copy must be the same cut as the actual screening copy. If a screening copy is different from their preview, it should be informed to the festival immediately.
- Material submitted for pre-selection will not be returned.

반드시 출품 규정을 읽은 후 출품신청서를 작성해야 하며, 출품신청서 제출 완료 시 출품 규정에 동의한 것으로 간주함.
